It is a station in base designed for making announcements including (but not limited to) meeting/info session/talk announcements, HET games announcement, SU updates, calling members to CTH (Clear the Halls), mainly during peak hours in which there is a need for a Moderator+ to call out commands to maintain order in base.
It also serves as a place to give instructions for people to properly form queues in base such as pay lines, pay bonus lines, and promotion lines. This is to ensure that everything runs smoothly to help keep everything organized as a way to help payers and/or promoters to do their task quickly and more efficiently.
Being on the MOD stand can also help with spotting people who are cutting during pay line.
In addition, MOD stand can also be used to spot people who are idling while filling a station. In such cases, you may only in WHISPER call out the attention of the idle person and give them a chance to stop idling before requesting for a “Room Rights” member to bounce the person.
MOD stand rules:
Use yellow coloured chat forIMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS ONLY.
Mod Stand should only be used to announce important HIA related topic that members must be made aware of.
Call commands, such as CTH when required. Please be sure to only call CTH when 10+ people are in the hallway or a payer is asking for your assistance with pay.
If there is a need to fill other stations while you are at the MOD stand, these stations must be your priority and you are responsible to fill it if no one else does. MOD stand should only be used as a last resort.
DO NOT use the MOD stand for personal announcement, to chat with friends, to make jokes, or to seek attention. Again, HIA related topics only.
DO NOT argue while on MOD Stand. Avoid arguing while you are on the MOD Stand. If needed, step down from the MOD Stand and talk to the person personally to discuss matters privately.
DO NOT abuse your power. Be respectful and considerate when calling commands.
DO NOT call members out on the MOD Stand. If there is an issue or anything happening with another member, please whisper them.
Pay Time rules:
DO NOT Spam pay line messages as it causes other HIA members to lag and eventually leads to them disconnecting.
Before a pay line is called, assist the payer in calling CTH. Your job is to get agents to FTF, security members to FTS, trainers to FTT (also remind trainers that payers go to training rooms for pay), OOA+ to FTHD, and the rest to cafe area. Remember, you must get everyone to clear the hallway for pay line to be called.
Keep an eye out for line cutters and people who don’t qualify for pay. This saves the payer a lot of trouble, and keeps the line moving smoothly. Feel free to ask members to move to the back of line if they present any kind of misbehaviour.
During a pay line, remind others of the rules for getting paid, to request vouchers if they got disconnected and the payban system. Something along the lines of:
“Please, ensure you have a minimum online time of 60 minutes to get pay.”
“If you disconnected and have an online time under 60 minutes, get 3 people to vouch for you if they have witnessed you working in base.”
“Please stay for at least 45 minutes after pay is over. Leaving early will result in getting paybanned.”
CTH announcement rules:
Only call for CTH when the hallway is actually going to be used (i.e. before pay time, or if someone wants to do a promotion line).
DO call for CTH when HIA members (10+) are just talking by the hallway and the stations are EMPTY. If the stations are mostly filled, there is no need for CTH. Let members mingle with each other.
Meeting/Events/Updates announcement rules:
DO NOT spam your announcements as it may cause lag to other HIA members.
If you are promoting an event and just using one message over and over again, make sure that you wait for your chat bubble to disappear from the screen first before sending a new message to avoid flooding HIA with your announcement.
How do I report a person who is not following the MOD Stand guide? If you see an HIA member who is not following the MOD Stand Guide, please call out their attention first and inform them of the specific rule that they violated. If their behavior persists, be sure to capture an SS for evidence (follow HIA rules for getting evidence) and send it to MOD Division Leaders on Slack.
Here are some reminders that you can use in the MOD stand to help HQ run smoothly:
