Welcoming New Members
The welcoming speech is a very important aspect of any kind of tour, as it is through the first sentences that the person you are offering a tour to will have a feel of what kind of a tour guide will you be. This is the first impression you are going to give the recruit/transfer, so try to ensure it is a good one.
You should start by welcoming them kindly to HIA, making sure you are being polite and using moderate language when speaking to them. Ask them about the kind of pacing they wish you to follow and how you can help them to accommodate the tour better for their needs, accordingly.
However, avoid making your welcome too long, as this might easily make the recruit/transfer feel bored, uninterested and even annoyed. You must be candid, giving yourself space to be respected.
Describing HQ
This is the main part of the tour you shall be giving, as it constitutes the core and the very reason why you are giving the tour in first instance. You must use all of your describing abilities and the best possible language when approaching this subject, considering you wouldn’t want to be either too broad in speech or too lacking. You have to use the proper amount of words and sentences when offering your descriptions. Make sure to use at a minimum of 3 sentences to explain the aspects of every part of HQ.
You might begin with the most basic of all working stations, FTF, and proceed from there on your tour among HQ. Properly indicate the way every working station operates and be specific as to what kind of activities do each of them perform. Be as precise and concise as possible
Offering Advice
Once you have shown the recruit/transfer around the HQ and every aspect has been covered with great detail, you may offer him/her a generalized kind of counselling regarding his/her new job at HIA. Make sure you are giving the type of guidance that will help them progress. Avoid commenting on things that he/she might not be able to get instantly familiarized with, and try to keep the advice as professional as possible.
Closing Remarks
You shall now be dismissing your recruit/transfer and allow him/her to begin working at HIA and committing to his/her duties. Make sure to let him/her know that you have appreciated their company and that you feel thankful that they paid attention to you. Make him/her feel like HIA is a welcoming agency, and that his/her time here will be spent wisely and happily.
Always remember to remind new members to approach the Help Desk to get their trading pass enabled! This is important because many new players are unaware of the trading pass which prevents them from receiving pay.
Take into account, as well, that even though this is a closing speech, you should not be unprofessional and start making usage of casual words to address the recruit/transfer. You are representing HIA and it is through you that they are taking the first impressions of the kind of agency HIA is.
