The best way to keep your Instagram account safe is by putting it PRIVATE so only your followers can see your posts. You can do this by clicking the the three dots on the top right corner of your profile:
After that, a lot of options will come up. Click on “Private Account”. If it’s blue, it means your account is private from people who aren’t your followers, if it’s grey ANYONE can see your pictures:
→ Some Instagram safety tips
If someone posts photos or videos that make you uncomfortable, report & unfollow them.
Make sure your account is private.
If someone is bullying you, report them and inform a trusted adult.
Make sure your posts don’t contain your location.
You don’t only have to be aware of who is following you but of who you’re following.
Make sure your bio does not contain any personal information, everyone can see your bio on Instagram, no matter if they are following or not. This includes your phone number, your snapchat, your city etc…
Do not give away your Instagram information to someone from Habbo. If you do- you are putting yourself at risk.
Be aware of Instagram accounts that claim to give you a lot of followers, they are fake and their aim is to hack as many accounts as possible.
